Texas Driving Safety Course Topics
The Texas driving safety course covers a wide range of safety topics and defensive driving techniques that will help you avoid accidents and dangerous situations on the road.

This training takes at least six hours to complete. The state requires all driver safety courses to include at least five hours of instruction and one hour of mandatory break periods. You may not advance to the next section until the time requirements for the current section have been met.
You do not need to complete the driver safety course in one sitting. Our system will automatically save your progress, allowing you to log on and off as needed and complete the course on your own schedule. You have 90 days to complete the course following registration.
Testing Requirements
The Texas driving safety course is divided into four learning modules. Each module ends with a short, multiple-choice quiz. The minimum passing score for each quiz is 70%, and you have up to three attempts to pass each one.
If you do not pass a quiz within the allotted three attempts, you will automatically fail the course and need to re-register. This course does not contain a final exam.
Earn Your Texas Driving Safety Certificate
Upon successful course completion, you will earn a Texas Driving Safety Course Certificate of Completion. Certificates are available to download and print seven days after you pass the course.

Identity Validation
Before beginning the Texas driving safety course, you will be required to answer ten security questions. These questions will appear on your screen throughout the course to confirm that you complete your training unassisted. You will have 45 seconds to answer each question once they appear.
If you answer four personal validation questions incorrectly, you will be locked out of the course. To regain access, you will need to contact customer service via email or live chat.
